Dear Sir/Madam,

Civil society coalition Equality, with support of Holland Embassy in BiH is inviting you to a conference Dialogue on reform of cantonal constitutions and abolishment of ethnic discrimination which will be held on Thursday December 10th in Hotel Mariott Courtyard Sarajevo (Skenderija 1, Sarajevo) starting from from 11 AM.

Civil society coalition Equality, in cooperation with Holland Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina is implementing a project whose goal is to solve the problems of constitutional discrimination in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In preparation for this conference, coalition organized a wide circle of public debates focused on cantonal constitutions in Federation, as a first phase of activities. The question of analysis of cantonal constitutions and determining discriminatory provisions in them is a question with less political burden than other constitutional questions, but it still represents quality basis for starting institutional dialogue on abolishing discrimination, communication within the community and including elected representatives in this process.

This conference will be attended by representatives of cantonal assemblys in Federation, well-known lawyers, sociologists and politologists and activists from Coalition Equality. We will present typical problems of cantonal constitutions, principles for solving the problem of ethnical discrimination as well as amendments on each of nine still discriminatory cantonal constitutions.

We are inviting you to take part in the Conference and contribute to the discussion and analysis of the propositions which will be presented.

Please confirm your attendance no later than December 7th via telephone (062/619-529) or email (dajanovic.damir@gmail.com). Contact person is Dajanović Damir.
