Dr. Zlatiborka Popov-Momčinović – Program Coordinator for Science and Education
Doc. dr. sc. Zlatiborka Popov Momčinović is a professor of political sciences at the University of East Sarajevo. She graduated sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad. During and after her studies she was active in civil society. From the year 2005, she was engaged as teaching assistant at the Faculty of Philosophy in East Sarajevo, where she defended her master thesis Political Culture in Period of Transition. At the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade, she defended her Ph.D thesis about women’s movement in BiH. She published more than 60 articles dealing with the gender, activism, reconciliation, and civil society, minority rights. and public role of religion. In the last three years she is the member of the research team within the project Factors of Reconciliation in BiH, in cooperation with the University of Edinburgh. She is the member of Appeal Commission of Press Council of BIH and member of the board for Political Sciences at the BIH Academy for Science and Art. In the last three years, she coordinated the project Young scientists in dialogue in cooperation with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung from BIH, in order to promote cooperation between young scientists coming from different BIH universities, including their visibility.
